Providing Help and Support to Veterans with PTSD

We want everyone who visits the the TheCostofFreedom.org website to feel welcome and find our website informative and easy to use. The Cost of Freedom Foundation is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience including people living with disabilities.

What are we doing?

To help us make the TheCostofFreedom.org website a positive place for everyone, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

We chose Level AA as the target for the TheCostofFreedom.org website to reach the most audience to the very best of our ability.

How are we doing?

We take creating a website that is easy to use for all individuals very seriously. To do this, our goal is to reach the level of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that may need improving and cause restraints within the WordPress CMS and/or any 3rd party plugins.

The following information explains just a small portion of what we are doing to make our website accessible to all:

  • Contrast to text and links
  • Discernible text unless confined by the WordPress CMS and/or 3rd party plugins
  • Proper heading hierarchy
  • Correct tab order
  • Visible label
  • Alt text to all images, product images, and slider images unless confined by the WordPress CMS and/or 3rd party plugins
